Durham Wargames Group are a predominantly historical wargaming club (though science fiction and board games do also feature) with interests in a huge range of periods and scales – Ancients to Modern; 2mm to 54mm.
We have our own permanent secure premises with nearly 300 square feet of table space which is available 24/7. Enough to cater for the most demanding gamer!……of course, having our own premises enables us to leave games in progress ‘set up’ to come back to another day – a big advantage.
The club’s shared resources include an extensive collection of scenery in all scales (well, most scales) and a large library.
We are perhaps most famous for our showpiece games, whether at wargames shows across the North of Britain, or at our own, annual event.
If you’re interested in popping along to see us, coming to our show, inviting us to your show or just have something to say about anything relevant, please drop us a line at email@example.com

Directions (from Durham City Centre)
Take A690 Sunderland Road until Gilesgate roundabout. Take third exit (Gilesgate) and proceed up hill for 1/4 mile. Every Thursday Evening, games usually start at around seven (ish). There’s no set finishing time as we all have keys…the loser of the last game to finish locks up!!! Just come along to one of our meetings and have a look, we can usually fit you into a game.
Membership is currently £100 per year and is open to anyone over the age of 18. There is a concession in place for those members who are students, retired and unwaged.
