In September 2003, the Independent Wargames Group, Robbie, John and Steve, based in Crook County Durham, used the DWG premises to refight the Battle of Wagram using Frank Chadwicks “Volley and Bayonet” rules.
There were around 15 players in total who played this day long game, on a 14′ x 6′ table – and an excellent day it turned out to be – a French victory, though this was incidental to the entertainment value.
These pages represent a pictorial record of the day – all terrain and figures were provided by the Independent Wargames Group.
